apologies for sporadic blogging lately but since i've started back at uni my schedule's been really busy! i've come close to finishing the project i was working on over easter, but i've been assigned a second one now. it seems that i'm going to be working really hard for the next month, but it will mean i can have a well-deserved rest over the (very long!) summer ahead.
anyway, as promised, i'll post some photos of my shopping haul from last week! unfortunately there aren't photos online of all the things i bought, but most things are on here! i was mainly looking for tops that covered some shoulder so i could wear them to uni in the summer but without getting too cold. however my main purpose of going shopping was to get some colour into my wardrobe!
my first stop was h&m where i found some awesome bargains. this mint green lace-knit top was only £7.99 but i adore the colour so much, it looks really pretty and fresh.
this strawberry-print dress was only £12.99 and i adore it, i think it'll look so pretty in the summer time, and i could also wear it with tights, boots and a cardigan (another reason i love summer dresses so much!)
i adore the colour green in the bodycon skirt pictured below, so for only £3.99 i had to have it. i also bought a white vest with a scalloped hem from h&m's conscious collection, but i can't find the picture on the website. it has a heart made of strawberries on the front, and it's incredibly cute - i plan to wear it with the skirt on hot summer days.
new look had a buy one, get one free offer on their jewellery and hair accessories so i thought a good way to get some pastels in my life would be to wear some hair flowers. i already have quite a few hair flowers but mainly in blacks and reds, so i got the pack pictured below as well as an identical set in cream and dusky pink.
new look also had some really cute fluorescent crop tops - all of the colours were beautiful, including a neon pink and yellow, but i chose this blue which is much brighter and eye-popping in real life. it makes blue eyes really stand out, and is great to throw on in the hot weather.
i also got a bun shaper, but in blonde, as a topknot is becoming my go-to hairstyle on days before i wash it and i think these are really good to pad it out a bit.
in addition to these things, i bought some coloured bead bracelets, a plain slouchy t-shirt in a flourescent coral from primark for only £3, a white fringed vest with a floral skull design on it from primark for £5, a black wrap maxi skirt pictured in my last post, a black mens cardigan in the river island sale for only £10 (it's gorgeous quality!) and a floral grunge print slouchy t-shirt from new look. i'm really excited to get some wear out of these things and have some colour in my life! i'm also going to have a sneaky look around the shops again later as there's a student shopping event and 20% off at h&m is too much to pass up!
what will your summer wardrobe consist of? are there any must-haves you are looking for?
love,
h xxx
